Relates to yesterdays post on Satya Murthy's translation of Krishnamacharya's Yogasanagalu (1941) asasna sequence table.
Made up a practice sheet of Krishnamacharya's Primary series to see what it's like to practice. I have a feeling that the sequence may well be a series of 'signposts' at each posture one or more vinyasas/variations might be included but this is speculation for now. Middle series practice e sheet to come.

Great, missed practice this morning making the practice sheet up but thought, that's ok I can practice it as soon as I get home tonight......then pulled a muscle in my calf running to work ( bike has a flat), modified practice for me for a week or two.
Oh Grimmly, sorry to hear that. Would it help you to know your photographing effort is very much appreciated? I have been reading everything I can since last night. Revised your responsevto yoga gymnastiques post, re read Singeltons chapter 9 and tried looking to see ifvthat Jacobsen partial translation of the yogasanagalu maybe anywhere... Not online... Singleton says he found itbin the Mysore Uiversity Library, I am guessing not translated....
You know what I would like to see? A book in which krishnamacharya shows the postures that Ramamonah Bramachari taught him in Nepal... Wonder if ramaswami ever asked him about that.... Might ask
Hope you feel better.
Thank you Claudia, it's annoying really wanted to practice this tonight but can't put any weight on my leg.
I was thinking this was perhaps the first version of the table, wonder how it was tweaked over the next ten years and how close it ended up to what we find in yoga mala.
When I asked Ramaswami about the yogasanagalu i seem to remember he said he had seen the pictures but hadn't read it because it was in Kanada. Yoga mala was originally written in Kanada too of course.
