Pictures and video from a little vintage Sax blog I've just started work on.
Repadding a Conn 30M ' Conqueror ' Tenor Saxophone, one of the most celebrated and elaborate ( thus the work on Dhāraṇā ) saxophones ever made.
A nice side effect of my yoga practice, improved concentration and a perhaps little more patience.
Finding an annoying, mysterious 'hiss' after a couple of days work would have had me climbing the walls a few years back.
First blow test
Still some bubbling...
hunting for a hiss...
almost there.... but not quite.

The '9th limb' for me is guitars. I just love 'em. Two vintage Fenders, a Martin acoustic and a Gibson, and I'd still like more!
One of the guys I work with in the workshop (http://www.myspace.com/jasonstretch
just bought an original Gibson Les paul, bought it in , very very nice.
I figured I couldn't buy all the classic saxophones I wanted, thats why ( along with an idea of Right Livelihood) I became a repairer, thought that way they would come to me. Waited a long time for this one to arrive.
Just noticed the videos ont show up on the iPad
