Finding it a pain getting my knees warmed up for working on this, something that wont be rushed. Find the first couple of times getting into Lotus hard work, but by the time I'm slipping in more easily my arms have started to become tired.Have decided that before I can think seriously about taking it back up again I'm going to have to control the descent. Once I can do that then I can start thinking about getting my head more under and uncurling the back. Think on my last dose of karanda fever I came across somebody saying that Karandavasana is a back bend.
On the video I've started out with some exercises I thought might help.
1. Sirasana. Slowly going up and down and to inverted Dandasana
2. Baddha hasta Sirasana C . Slowly going up and down and to inverted Dandasana
(Noticed here that if I had my head forward then I couldn't bring it down, but having it farther back seemed much easier which seems to confirm Susan's getting the head further under suggestion).
3. Mukta hasta sirasana. Getting into lotus and slowly bringing it up and down
4. Baddha hasta Sirasana C. Getting into lotus and slowly bringing it up and down
At the end of the video is the Karandavasana I'm going with tonight, felt a bit slower and a little more controlled than the others (yeah but you should have seen the others). Not much of a lift at the end but wasn't really focusing on that tonight.
