I think this is about as far as I'm going to be able to reach for a while and I'm really forcing it here. Probably not good to push it this far every morning. Clearly it's coming, and the side grab is a great technique, but I need to shift my focus elsewhere, to what's going on with my legs for instance. There's so much going on in these asana and you have to get comfortable with all the different elements and then coordinate them. Think it's great if you can isolate some of the different elements to work on, even if that means employing the odd cheat here and there. But, you have to find ways to work on all of them and then bring them together.
Been having a great week of practice. Following along with Sharath's Primary DVD at the beginning of the week and then continuing on without the DVD up to Kapo. Working on economy in my vinyasa. Before, I would always set myself up to jump back, now I jump back pretty much from the pose and occasionally jump into the next. Loving jumping back from half lotus. My whole practice just seems smoother and more flowing. Thank you Sharath.
Kino is here and I can't make it to the party, oh well, doesn't she do workshops in Crete sometimes, or perhaps a trip to Miami beach, Sun, sea, sand and shala.

Looks good. And yes, pretty soon the refinements on this will become subtler and have more back and forth variability to them.
Kapotasana as a practice, rather than a posture, is a great bellweather.
You switched back from pm to am?
Yes back to morning practice, I was doing both, primary in the morning and then working on intermediate after work. Once I could get some kind of a flow through 2nd I just seemed to drop the evening practice. I tend to alternate now, though I've been doing primary up to kapo all week. Want to get rid of some bad habits before I go to YP and face Susan's big stick.
Nice to see you popping up all over the place again this morning, was beginning to worry about you.
Practicing twice a day is frowned on.
I would know.
Word is it was standard in the old days. Though don't believe those stories about running up Chamundi hill after practice.
Don't worry, I'm turning over a new leaf, am a good ashtangi now planning on going to class and everything.
My yogitoes arrived!!!!! am going to try some drop backs on it and a couple of karandavasanas....Dhoh, OK, will be a good ashtangi from tomorrow.
You didn't really like Susan's tea did you, Clipper Organic! I would have given you PG Tips.
I'll have you know I gave Owl a Pukka Harmonise tea - rose, vanilla and shatavari :)
Your kapo looks awesome! Look at the difference in where your hips are.
Oh and (what I meant to say) Kino's doing some European cities this summer - Dublin, Bologna, Oslo, Copenhagen, I think a few others.
Hippy tea, you gave her hippy tea! Finaly this poor deprived American gets to escape Liptons and you give here some hippy tea.....bet you didn't even give her a saucer to sip it out of either.
Ok I take it back, seeing as your being so nice about my kapo, I'm sure it was very nice tea, not PG but very nice anyway.
Now Bologna is interesting, a wonderful city, might be tempted by that, though not sure I will still feel that way now I'm a Vegie.
