Latest Jump back : Lifting up from staff

So Lino Miele has this beautiful Jump Back, where he lifts up from Dandasana, holds it for about an hour and a half, legs still as you like, calmly crosses his legs and jumps back through.
After all this Kapotasana work I've been noticing my legs getting stronger (at least they've been aching like hell) so decided to give it a try.
Lino it ain't (check out the quivering, quaking toes as I lift up and I only manage to hold it for half a second or so ) but I couldn't have done this, even this poorly a month ago.

Part of the trick is leaning forward a bit and placing the hands further down the thigh .

Your practice is a bit unreal. Truly inspiring.

It sounds like the breath is strong in you :-) .... but there is perhaps a bit of a pattern of holding the breath at the most challenging parts of the movement. Can you breath with equal fullness through the whole jump-back and the whole jump-through?

You know my envelope breathing schtick... sometimes this also helps to even out the breath regardless of what motion is taking place.

Sama vritti is a nice sitting practice as well. The pelvic floor especially engages at the bottom of the exhalation.

Timely as ever. Have noticed from watching my kapo vids that my breathing is all over the place. Maybe some pranayama is the way to go, will give it a try. Be good for my drop back, think I tend to hold my breath half way through.
